The time has come for us to pack up, once again. Daniel and I typically feel the urge to move every 2-3 years and have held true to that pattern throughout our marriage. We have been blessed to live in some amazing places that we cherish; Alaska-piece of heaven on earth, Canada-another heaven on earth, London-fast paced but amazing, and twice now in Texas, first in Harlingen and now in Beaumont. Every move is hard emotionally but has been good for us. I knew that Beaumont was not where we would live forever but I dread this move, which is a first for me. To start, we have kids in school and we own a home. Those are things we never dealt with before. It is always hard to leave friends and it is always hard to put myself out there to make new friends. You would think after all of these moves it gets easier but it doesn't. The boys have their friends at school and little Daniel has a great cub scout troop that they will say good-bye to. This move will require them to leave their comfort zones and make room for personal growth. I can actually say that I long for the day for us to find a place that will be "HOME". Now, onto the job. Daniel started his career as a Border Patrol agent. He has been part of that agency for almost 11 years, but job titles and responsibilities changed which each transfer. This time Daniel is switching agencies. Since this is a new agency, that means back to the academy for 22 weeks. He reports the first week of January and my status as a single mom begins. The boys are trying to be brave but I know there will be many many tears when he leaves, from all of us. I am a strong woman and will endure but I will have to rely on my Savior to get through it. Since this is a new beginning, we will not have the luxury of having the government move us, we will have to do it all by ourselves. So not only will I be a single mom, but I will have to pack us up and sell the house. WOW, I feel overwhelmed just typing it! So that is it. Like I have referred in the past, we are the nomadic Zaehringers.
