Schools Out!

Daniels last day of school was this past Friday. The last week was filled with many different activities, such as his Award Ceremony and Field Day.
This is Daniel, with his teacher Mrs. Glaze, at the First Grade Award Ceremony. Daniel REALLY enjoyed having her for his teacher and I must admit, she was exactly what he needed. Daniel did so well in school this year. Not that I want to get carried away and brag, but I want to just say how proud I am of his academic achievements. Daniel has always had a love of books and now that he can read, that is what he does, READ. I hope and pray that his love for learning will stay with him throughout his life.
Daniel made "A" Honor Roll each 6 weeks and he received a trophy for it. Just in case you noticed the last sticker missing, for the last 6 weeks, it was given to him afterwards.
This is Daniel receiving his certificates and trophy.
Daniel ran his little heart out in a relay race on Field Day. I just love seeing him in action. His team won First place and received a ribbon.
The boys and their ribbons.
Nothing like a game of Jumbo soccer. Though it was hot, REAL HOT, it was a fun filled day. What a way to end the school year. So its official, I have a second grader.

Somewhere over the Rainbow

This evening I was made aware of a double rainbow outside. I could not let this moment pass so I took a few minutes to enjoy this beautiful and majestic site. With all of the chaos of life, there are those simple reminders of our Father in Heaven, His promises, and His love for us.
