Shark Fishing

Daniel went shark fishing this weekend with some of his classmates. From the pictures, looks like they had a great time. Apparently Daniel caught the smallest shark but you all know him, that did not hurt his pride one bit. He said that everyone caught a shark. It is all catch and release fishing...poor injured sharks! Nothing like a little blood to draw in bigger sharks!

Birthday Fun

This past weekend was two days of beautiful chaos! We celebrated little Daniels 8th birthday (yes 2.5 months late) and Lendls 5th birthday (yes 3 months early). I went ahead and threw Lendl a party so he could invite friends from church and school, just in case we are in Laredo by the end of summer. My amazing husband is the natural entertainer of kids and with him not here I felt overwhelmed about these parties so I encouraged the boys to have their party somewhere like the skating rink or bowling alley. Of course they wanted a good old fashion backyard birthday party so I ended up renting an inflatable water slide. Lendls party was on Friday and Daniels was on Saturday. The money spent on the water slide was the best money I have ever spent. It was a huge hit with the kids and some adults!! The weather was beautiful, there was a great turn out to both parties , the kids had fun, and no one got hurt. That is what I call successful! Chi Chi loved being out side with kids all weekend. You know you have a great dog when she can run around and no one is afraid of her. The only thing missing was daddy!

Keeping Busy!

My life has been very crazy with Daniel gone and I feel sad that he has missed many of the milestones of Brighams first year. He is such a good, fun, happy baby to raise and keeps me sane when the other boys become testy! I can't wait for daddy to see his amazing son! There is this drive in him to be such a big boy. His walking has exploded which has led him to a new sense of discovery. He literally walks from the minute he wakes up until bed time. Within a matter of days, he went from walking 5-10 steps at a time, to walking all around the house. I love to watch his face as he walks further or explores somewhere new. The funniest thing happened this past weekend. The older boys were playing Wii and afterwards the remotes were left out. Brigham saw the remotes and he walked his little heart out to get to them. He picked one up, looked at me and gave the biggest smile. I just know he was thinking that it was finally his turn to play. It amazes me how smart babies are. How many 10 month olds know what a Wii remote is and that getting one in his hands IS a big deal? I laughed out loud but he was not happy when I took it away. Okay, everyone knows that I love my baby boys having long hair, for a while anyway, so here are my brag pictures of Brigham who just turned 10 months old!

Lendl, Brigham, and I went Strawberry picking a couple of weeks ago. I was pretty tempted to keep little Daniel home from school that day to join us but too much was going on. The weather was beautiful and the strawberries were delicious. Lendl filled several little buckets and Brigham got the hang of picking/eating too! The boys made Freezer jam with most of the strawberries. They literally did all the work except for pouring the jam into the jars. I will admit, the jam is YUMMY.

Lendl is done playing soccer. The Spring season is a short season but a perfect introduction to the sport. Lendl loved getting out there and playing. I have noticed that even at 4 years old, a body can get into shape. He is running faster and his endurance is longer. I am real proud of his efforts!

Lendl had a Trik-a-thon at school to raise money for St. Judes. I was surprised, and relieved, but there were no crashes or falls from any of the kids.

He's walking...and dancing
